Behind the Scenes – Preparing for Open Studios Falkirk

Hello and welcome to my very first blog post. I’m Jade Stout, a visual artist and I’m currently in preparation for something exciting — Open Studios Falkirk.

Opening up my studio is always a mix of anticipation and vulnerability. It’s not just about hanging work on the studio walls, it’s about sharing a space where my ideas are born, sketches sprawl across tables, and paint stains tell their own stories. This year, I’m inviting you into that space to experience the process, the chaos, and the quiet joys of making art.

There will be finished artworks for sale, some works-in-progress, and sketchbooks to flip through. Whether you’re a fellow artist, a collector, or simply curious, I’d love to welcome you in. You don’t need to know anything about art, just bring your curiosity and maybe a friend.

🗓 Dates: Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 June, Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 June

📍 Location: 102 Tryst Road, Stenhousemuir, Larbert, FK5 4QJ

🕒 Times: 10am to 5pm

🎨 What to Expect: Original artworks, prints, process sketches, and some lovely conversation.

It’s a brilliant opportunity to see my work in the place it is created and support local artists across the region. I’ll also be sharing behind-the-scenes snippets in the run-up to the event over on Instagram, so feel free to follow along @jadestoutart or join my mailing list

Hope to see you there!

Jade
