I’m absolutely delighted to be returning to the Pittenweem Arts Festival this August, once again exhibiting alongside the brilliant Pauline, aka Sea Drift Pottery. This year, we’re back in a venue that feels like home, the Pittenweem Tennis Club, a light-filled space just a short stroll from the harbour.
There’s something special about Pittenweem. For one week each summer, this charming East Neuk fishing village transforms into a vibrant hub of creativity, with artists exhibiting in homes, studios, sheds, gardens, garages and yes, tennis clubs too! It’s a joyful celebration of art, community, and the Scottish coastline.
With Queen’s Club underway and Wimbledon just around the corner, there’s definitely a bit of tennis fever in the air, so it feels only fitting to be in a venue with courts just outside the window! But instead of rackets and rallies, we’ll be bringing colour, texture, and storytelling through ceramics and paintings rooted in land, sea, and memory.
For me, Pittenweem offers a rare opportunity to connect directly with visitors, to talk about process, inspiration, and place. It’s also a chance to meet other artists, discover new work, and soak up the festival’s unique atmosphere. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, there’s always something unexpected waiting around the next corner.
I’ll be sharing more details in the run-up to August, including sneak peeks of new work and behind-the-scenes glimpses as we prepare. If you’re planning to
visit, do pop by the Tennis Club venue we’d love to see you!
Here’s to a summer of creativity, connection, and (hopefully) sunshine. 🎾🎨☀️
